Every day, it’s a new challenge to get started with daily tasks. Most of my day time is spent simplifying the more complex tasks, or apologizing to myself for not completing them, or thinking about working.
End of the day, I am completely exhausted and emotionally drained. I don’t have energy to do any other activities. The next day, the same process repeats itself over and over again.
Do easy task first
I am sure most of you know how to figure out the easy tasks. Completing small tasks gives you the motivation to do the next tasks. This way you will see much more progress in your goals and tasks, and the rest of the day will also be much more positive and productive for you.
Heavy tasks
You finish the easiest tasks at the beginning, putting off the most challenging ones to do later. Until it’s finished, you’re feeling stressed because you know that the most challenging part has to come.
Once you finished it, you come to realize how much the difficulty was exaggerated. It was not exhausting or time-consuming. Simply, you have spent your day worrying about nothing.
Assuming you finish it early in the morning. You’ll enjoy the rest of the day knowing that you’ve already overcome the most challenging job. Everything will feel good in comparison, and you won’t feel any pressure on yourself. It’s a difficult change to make, but it can lead to more productive time management
Task failure
However, if you fail to achieve the hard task in time, that burden will add additional stress throughout the day.
With increasing anxiety about the failure, it will cost hours before actually getting anything done. Feeling stressed and hating yourself makes you inefficient for the rest of the tasks too.
